DEFENCE & SECURITY
The Defence & Security Committee is a unique platform for international industry officials, business and policy makers to discuss the ever evolving challenges of the defence industry in both the EU and the UK. It focuses on key policies in both areas, including land, sea and air capabilities, Artificial Intelligence, procurement, cooperation, as well as hybrid threats and cyber security. This committee provides input and creates dialogue around these areas, bringing key stakeholders together to solve complex situations .
Policy focus areas are decided by the committee in quarterly committee meetings and monthly workgroup meetings.
The Defence & Security Committee is divided into three key workstreams:
- The Cross-Border Policy and Advocacy Workstream
- The Industry Cooperation and Partnerships Workstream
- The Emerging Threats and Technology Workstream
Members of this committee are provided with a regular forum to actively engage in discussions, events and advocacy in both the UK and the EU by inviting key stakeholders, policymakers and business leaders join talks and build relationships.
