FINANCIAL SERVICES
The Financial Services Committee monitors policy developments across all areas of finance on both sides of the Channel, engaging with both EU and UK stakeholders. It focuses on cooperation and regulation in the UK–EU financial sector, serving as a platform for debate and collaboration. The Committee provides input on legislative actions and bilateral forums, and serves as a first point of contact for UK official and business delegations visiting to discuss policy, trade, and investment.
Policy focus areas are decided by the committee and include:
- EU & UK Financial Regulatory Convergence and Divergence
- Sustainable Finance
- Savings and Investment Union
- Digitalisation, crypto regulation & anti-money laundering (AML)
The Committee provides members with a regular forum to actively engage in discussions, events, and advocacy by inviting key stakeholders, policymakers, and business leaders to exchange views and build relationships.
