FINANCIAL SERVICES
The Financial Services Committee covers policy developments in all areas of finance on both sides of the Channel, including EU and UK stakeholders. It will focus on UK/EU financial sector cooperation and regulation. Serving as a platform for debate and collaboration, it will provide input on legislative actions and bilateral forums, and is a first point of call for UK official and business delegation visits to discuss policy, trade and investment.
Policy focus areas are decided by the committee and include:
- Sustainability & responsible finance
- Consumer finance & retail strategy
- Digitalisation, crypto regulation & anti-money laundering (AML)
- Investment & capital markets.
Members of this committee are provided with a regular forum to actively engage in discussions, events and advocacy in both the UK and the EU by inviting key stakeholders, policymakers and business leaders join talks and build relationships.
