SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability and climate action will be a key theme running through all future European policy proposals and initiatives as the focus of the EU is on the Green Deal. This will lead to a set of new rules for companies to operate within. The BritCham Sustainability Committee covers policy developments in all areas of sustainability – the environment, the economy, and society. The Committee supports the exchange of best practice and the dialogue between British and European policy experts and business leaders, with a focus on Packaging and Packaging Waste, Circular Economy, Sustainable Products initiatives, Taxonomy and the green transition.
Regular events:
- Focusing on the EU Green Deal Series and ‘Fit for 55’ proposal in the future of the European Union.
- Providing our members with insights into some of the main pillars in the Green Deal Industrial Plan such as the Net Zero Industry Act.
- Panel discussion with a focus on the environment, energy and the circular economy with a focus on adopting sustainable business practices.
