Supply Chain Resilience Workshop
On the 9th of October from 15:00 to 16:30, the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium is organising a workshop for the Supply Chain Resilience pillar of our European Economic Security and Competitiveness Programme.
This workshop will explore how the EU and UK can work more closely to build robust, transparent, and adaptable supply chains in today’s global environment. Discussions will cover the current trading arrangements between the EU and UK, the digitalisation of borders and customs, and how these connect to broader global trade flows. The session will seek to answer: what practical tools and strategies can strengthen trade and ensure resilient supply chains in the face of external shocks and emerging challenges?
The workshop will also consider the shared challenges both sides face, including geopolitical instability, regulatory complexity, and sectoral vulnerabilities in areas such as pharmaceuticals, defence, automotives, and energy. As the international regulatory landscape evolves, participants will reflect on how businesses are navigating key initiatives such as as the Omnibus Simplification Package and the Union Customs Code reform, and where alignment with UK counterparts might be possible.
