BritCham EU is the pillar of the British Chamber of Commerce EU & Belgium that focusses on all matters concerning EU policy and the relationship between the UK and the EU.
We promote the importance of fair and open business in Europe and our aim is to help influence policies which facilitate and support businesses both in the EU and in the UK to thrive and succeed in this context.
The key to the value that BritCham EU brings to its members is delivered through the various activities and events originated by our committees and/or through our strategic partnerships.
SETTING THE AGENDA
As a member-led organisation, our activities and policy programme are driven through committees, which are made up of active members of the Chamber.
All BritCham EU members are encouragedto participate in our committee meetings and events programme so that they are able to join the conversations and help shape the direction of our work.
Governed and guided by the cross-chamber Policy Council, our EU committees cover a wide range of policy-focussed sectors and areas of business interest.
When BritCham EU is asked to take a policy ‘position’ on any specific issue, the Policy Council will submit recommendations to ultimately be approved by the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce EU & Belgium.
